Graphic Design 2.1: Professional Practice, Project 9: Tutor Feedback and Reflection
R1: You have selected a good range of practitioner examples and written well about all of them. You have made valid contextual points/observations.
E1: Finding the Itsu SCO interface info on a blog has proved very useful for your design process. You have included lots of other research/case study examples. Very thorough research as usual. Your planning for Aldi shows a very good consideration for clarity and accessibility. Type size, sound, language and colour options have all been integrated within the clear design. You have clearly identified areas for future consideration. All in all this is a very well considered project and outcome.
Your AMC project commences with thorough research and an analysis of what the brief requires. The written brief is detailed and organised well. A physical leaflet and a digital asset are proposed. Research has continued throughout the brief to inform your designs and the general visual impact of the deliverables. You refer back to this as you develop your designs. Adding in some handwritten elements has really brought more personality and friendliness into the designs. You have crammed multiple ideas into one leaflet so there could be an argument that it has become rather busy with information. What would it look like if it became a starter leaflet and a follow up postcard or something so that the information could be spread out more. The digital asset works well with the printed leaflet and has retained the brand feel effectively.
This is definitely an interesting idea. Perhaps a more minimal leaflet would work better, and be more appealing to the intended audience.
